FX IT – Application Support Team Lead (Trader Facing , Wallstreet System) recruitment

Deputy to Regional FX IT Support Manager. Support for voice and electronic FX Cash and Options Trading within Asia Pacific region, as part of the Global FX IT team.
The successful candidate will have previous experience of team leadership and be able to manage a major incident to resolution.
He or she will be working closely with traders, middle office staff, operations and product control in resolving business related issue within the support team. The candidate will be expected to communicate effectively with traders and manage that relationship.

This is a high profile role offering an excellent opportunity to be work closely with the Front Office and gain in-depth exposure to the business in Fixed Income.

THE ROLE INVOLVES:
? Team leadership and supervision
? Support GFX IT applications from a business perspective
? Respond to all user issues/queries within published timeframes
? Provide first/second line application support including trouble shooting issues, leading technical investigations and supporting mission critical platforms in a demanding 24/7 environment
? Accurate incident logging and tracking adhering to published procedures

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Produce and maintain support knowledge base and documentation and contribute to the team's increased ability to service the user base
? Formulate solutions to reduce issue impact on the business users
? Train colleagues in own sphere of knowledge and experience
? Share new skills with colleagues
? Liaise with internal dev teams as well as vendors to accurately report on incidents requiring software changes

Fixed Income IT is a global organization, spread across the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific. Its primary function is to provide IT support for the Firm's Fixed Income Business lines, primarily the Front Office. The business areas include Cash Trading, Structured Products, Electronic Trading, Global Loans, Leveraged Finance, Global Money Markets, Global Fx, Repo, Sales, Research and Corporate Banking, Proprietary Trading, CDOs, Analytics, Origination, Structured Product Control, Global Client Technology and Energy. Additional areas include Architecture, Cross-Product Development (Project Management, Business Analysis, and Quality Assurance) and Support.

TO QUALIFY, YOU MUST POSSESS:
• Graduate qualification in Computer Science or Business
• Strong work experience in the financial industry supporting multiple applications.
• Experience of working in a busy user facing support environment covering varied and multiple applications.
• Proven track record of supporting trading applications.
• Exposure to Microsoft Office suite of applications
• Unix Solaris, Windows NT, VMS, MS Access, Oracle/Sybase
• SQL - Ability to construct simple statements to create reports
