About the department
As one of the foreign exchange market leaders, trading over $20 billion per day, Wells Fargo Foreign Exchange provides solutions and services ranging from currency exchange and international payments to hedging and currency risk management solutions. We have over 150 years of global experience and we understand the complexity of conducting business overseas. Wells Fargo provides 24 hour sales and trading coverage throughout the world. We are a market maker in all major and most minor currencies. We offer spot, forwards, options, and deal contingent structures. We have a comprehensive online trading platform and a market leading Global Cash Management/Global Banking service.
With the growth of Wells Fargo in Europe, we are looking to add an experienced FX Options Trader to expand our market share in the region and assist in growing our global FX Structured Products business. The right candidate will be instrumental in growing not only our regional FX options business but also help drive our global growth initiative in FX structured products. The successful candidate will join a team of four traders globally as we ultimately build up to a six member team.
Qualifications
• A degree in sciences or finance although a post-graduate degree is preferred (or equivalent).
• Strong analytical/technical skills.
• Proven experience in trading and modeling FX Structured Products.
• Experience quoting and risk managing a global FX options book.
• Experience quoting and trading exotic options.
• Knowledge of long dated Hybrid Rates/FX structures.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties, strong attention to detail and strong computer skills.
• Entrepreneurial, self-starter who can effectively work in a global PNL/Book environment .
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary as you will work closely with our Trading/Sales/IT and Quant teams in order to build and grow this business.
