The Role:
The FX Quality Assurance Tester is an important part of Bloomberg's FX/FXET business, which is one of the fastest growing and increasingly profitable units within the company. He/she will be part of a global team responsible for all testing related to the FX/FXET platform on Bloomberg.
The successful candidate will have a passion for testing, entrepreneurial and decisional thinking, excellent project management, multitasking and communication skills, listening skills, diligence and should be able to make tactful decisions or exert pressure as necessary.
He/she should be comfortable in a demanding, colleague/client-driven environment, and in managing different levels of interests and expectations. He/she should have an interest in the financial and electronic trading industry.
An engineering, technical or scientific background combined with a business experience is desired.
Experience in testing and reviewing products will also be considered provided they are substantiated.
Responsibilities include:
- Testing various interrelated trading platforms in dynamic environments.
- Writing and designing test plans.
- You will also be involved in several business aspects of the product, wherein your input will be utilized for your colleagues to assess risks.
- Managing various projects at different stages of completion with respect to QA.
- Working closely with RD and the Business to efficiently gather requirements to perform your QA work and contribute to the overall quality of the product.
Qualifications:
- Engineering, technical or scientific background and/or a business background.
- General knowledge of the financial market or electronic trading industry.
- Passion for testing.
- Excellent 'code breaking' skills.
- Excellent documentation and record keeping skills.
- Must be highly organized and able to prioritize.
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills, with a customer-focused attitude.
- Advanced project management and teamwork skills.
- Must have critical, tactful, and strategic thinking skills .
- Ability to make decisions accordingly with a strong but flexible will.
- Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in demanding situations.
- Entrepreneurial spirit.
