FX Quant Developer- High Frequency Algo Desk/ Solid Java- London- £Negotiable recruitment

 Role:-

Your role will be to work on the development of leading edge solutions for FX pricing, execution Algo, intelligent hedging and prop/hybrid Algos for high frequency FX in London.. The role will involve working as part of a small team, working closely with the FX Algo trading and research teams to develop solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and optimization of high-performance, low-latency trading platforms and systems, implementing high-frequency algorithms, and involved in the research, development and implementation of new strategies alongside researchers, quants, and traders.

Requirements:-

The main requirement is extremely solid Java skills as this is what you will be tested on mainly in the interview process.

An advanced degree (MSc., or PhD) from a globally elite institution in  subjects such as Maths/ Applied Maths/ Statistics / Computer Science.

Algo experience would be useful but not essential.

Strong quantitative skills and the willingness and ability to work in partnership with PhD level quantitative traders.

Experience in FX will be considered an advantage but not an absolute essential.

Interested in electronic trading and the financial markets.

Ideally you will have between 1 year to 3 years of experience . Candidates with zero experience and exceptional Java skills will also be considered.

Of particular interest are candidates who can demonstrate a record of winning competitive academic awards or  who have an extremely competitive attitude. From a technical perspective,   they prefer candidates that are able to show that they  can think independently, like low-level, “compact” coding, and have experience of real-time systems and tuning infrastructure for speed / latency considerations. Candidates are expected to love technology and optimisation and want to use their technology skills to contribute to building systems and technology that will profit and make money from high speed trading.
