FX Sales Trader recruitment

My client is a leading investment bank and they require a FX sales trader to join their team

Job Requirement

To provide Foreign Exchange solutions to International Banking clients in accordance with their objectives and risk profile. The role sits in the FX Sales-Trading business within Global Research Investments and provides Foreign Exchange products and solutions including:

• FX Spot, forward

• FX Hedging

• Providing market colour based on group research

Working in collaboration with colleagues across the business the team provides the above solutions to UK and International Banking Managers and, more importantly, to clients who require help and guidance on managing their exposure to the FX markets.

The primary responsibility will be to grow wallet share from the existing client base and assist with business development of new prospects.

You will also be required to provide support to the other members of the FX Sales-Trading team as required particularly with the International Banking FX specialists

      Role requirements

• Professional/technical experience: The candidate will have thorough product knowledge across Treasury, including foreign exchange, dealing and funding activities. A good knowledge of: wholesale money market dynamics, political/economic policies and world affairs and their impact on exchange and interest rates. In addition a good knowledge of the control environment would be of benefit. Satisfies the FSA criteria for an approved person, both initially and ongoing. A thorough knowledge of Reuters and information available via bank specific systems such as SOLD, Oasis and so on would be beneficial to the role. Knowledge of derivative products, including structured investment products and hedging products would be beneficial.

• Academic and professional qualifications: Ideally a high quality degree level education and first class academic track record and the relevant Securities and Investment Institute qualification and/or ACI Dealing Certificate and/or Diploma or specific professional qualification that satisfies local regulatory requirements. FSA registered CF30 would be an advantage.
