Camber Corporation seeks an experienced Game / Software Developer to support our current and future programs. Candidates must be personable, take-charge individuals with strong organizational skills, capable of working in a fast-paced team environment in our Huntsville, AL office.
Candidate must be knowledgeable and show experience in C/C++ development and object oriented analysis and design principles; have a strong interest in developing computer game based software; demonstrate and show experience in developing computer game or graphics oriented software using DirectX or OpenGL; demonstrate a good understanding of 3D Math; and show a proclivity for creative problem solving and software craftsmanship. Knowledge and use of scripting languages is required and experience using Scaleform is a plus. Professional game development experience and VBS2 development experience are a plus.
As a game / software developer, you will work directly with supervisors, developers and artists in the support and creation of game-based, desktop, and mobile application trainers and simulators. You should be able to write efficient code or script for use in our simulation and training software. You will run tests of the application to identify bugs that need to be dealt with; solve problems by re-writing the code or adding new code that works around the problem; provide technical support to an application once it is running and making further adaptations, patches or rewrites to the code. You will be required to support others on the team in creating innovative and cutting edge software. You will be required to take the initiative in identifying and crafting those extra details that result in an immersive, innovative and cutting edge game based simulation and training experience.
You must have or be able to obtain and maintain a DoD secret security clearance.
