Volt Technical Resources has a position for a Software Developer to work on a small team of 10 people (Program Managers, a Design Lead, and Software Design Engineers) who build demos depicting future technology scenarios for executive presentations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Attend collaborative meetings to provide estimates and practical input for demo application specification documents.
- Design and implement proof-of-concept/proof-of-technology prototypes for solutions to meet requirements in draft specifications.
- Develop applications to meet requirements in approved specifications.
- Understand the scenarios of the target customer.
This is an estimated 6-12 month Contingent/Temporary position offered through Volt Technical Resources, located in Redmond, Washington. Requirements:
Software Development Engineer (Level 4 SDE) Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience designing, coding and shipping professional software, with particular emphasis on rich and innovative User Interfaces, DirectX technologies including Shader Model 3 and higher, and streaming audio/video technologies.
- Experience with Game Development (title, middleware or tools) for Xbox 360, DirectX or XNA Game Studio.
- Proficiency in the Object Oriented language in C++ or C# is required.
- Ability to work independently and effectively with Developers, Program Managers, Design and other team members.
- Ability to manage ambiguity and work effectively with rapidly evolving business needs.
- Ability to function autonomously, devise simple and elegant solutions to complex problems and demonstrate Agile Development practices that prioritize quality and efficiency as well as possess a deep attention towards details.
Bonus Skills:
- Familiarity using game engines such as Crytek or Unreal.
