Gas Operator/Shift Trader recruitment
Major oil and gas firm based in Central London are urgently seeking a gas operator/shift trader on a temp-to-perm basis. The firm are one of the key players in the European and international gas markets, with production and networks across Europe. This therefore would be an excellent move for a candidate with existing experience in gas operations to develop and progress their career within a market leader.
In this position you will be part of a 24-hour shift team who are responsible for the management and optimisation of their physical gas activity across Europe. This will involve managing production, balancing networks, booking and trading capacity, out of hours trading and analytical work. As part of this you will also work on a shift rotation from home along with other members of the team on an occasional basis.
You will need to be educated to degree level, preferably in a quantitative discipline, and have a good knowledge of European gas markets. You will also be analytical and highly numerical.
This position offers the opportunity to join a leader in the energy market and join an international oil and gas company in an important role for the management, operation and optimisation of their European gas portfolio. There is also a high probability of this position going permanent.
