Gas/Power/Emissions Trade Control recruitment
A leading European commodities trading house requires a trade controller to undertake multiple responsibilities within the controls, PL and risk functions as well as providing first rate assistance to the front office functionality. The successful incumbent will have experience working within commodities and ideally gas, power or emissions as well as a strong accountancy background. The successful candidate will be expected to provide insight into the teams running and also develop structural and process improvements.
Chief responsibilities:
- Manage the construction of daily PL and monitor risk of positions held.
- Educate business strategies and PL influences to team members.
- Provide analysis and explanation for major PL movements
- Ensure that infrastructure is sound for all new products and complex structured deals.
- Assist with system development and develop reporting systems.
- Provide commentary and analysis to the business heads.
- Assist with expansion of the business on a national and international level.
Experience:
- Come from a commodities background ideally with gas or power experience.
- Ability to form strong relationships with traders and senior management
CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent accounting qualification advantageous but is not essential.
