PURPOSE SCOPE:
Under the direction of the AVP and Manager the incumbent efficiently processes clean cash wire payment transactions, correctly processing exceptions in Payment Queues, Processes Cancel and amendments and any other Payment related functions supported by Global Cash operations Payment Unit.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor and process all activity in BESS, Rightfax, Holding File and IBS MT queues accurately, timely and by agent bank deadlines.
- Efficiently assist internal and external clients with complex research, queries and issues
- Ensure full understanding and adherence to corporate risk policy and standard operating procedures
- Make suggestions for workflow and process improvements to the benefit of State Street and our clients.
- Ensure errors are minimized; SSBT’s and Global Services exposure to financial loss is minimized, and provide process improvement ideas.
- Be aware of all business contingency plans. Escalate issues that could result in the invoking of contingency procedures with your supervisor
- Interact constructively with clients, peers and management, participating in staff meetings.
- Assists in staff cross training and act as a staff and management resource as necessary.
- Participates in the creation, testing and execution of department procedures.
- Support the effective functioning of the department and the transition of workflow between different Geographical locations
- Performs other duties as specified by Management.
REQUIREMENTS:
- University/College designation preferred
- Strong overall knowledge of Swift standards and CHAPs rules with expertise in payments
- Demonstrated market knowledge and relevant market experience treasury and/or broking products
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Computer Proficient-windows, MS excel, MS word, MCH, IBS, Wallstreet, Outlook
- Effective verbal and written communication and time management skills
- Deadline and detail oriented
- Ability to work independently and assist manager with more complex duties or training as needed
- Demonstrate the ability to problem solve
- Understanding of Global Cash Operations and SSGM’s product and services and; the working relationship between stakeholders
- Be a strong team player
