GC Chemist - East Houston Refinery
Kelly Scientific Resources is currently recruiting candidates for a Chemist position at a Refinery in East Houston. Qualified candidates will preferably have 5 years of experience with GC to include method development, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Additional experience with instrumentation including UV/Vis, FTIR, and HPLC is preferred. Supervisory experience is also preferred along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Responsibilities of the position are as follows: · Provide technical direction to technical staff · Provide technical and quality oversight in GC area · Provide technical support for testing and test methods · Develop and improve internal and industry test methods · Meet external ISO and internal quality system requirements · Maintain instrument/equipment purchase plan · Evaluate new equipment for potential appropriation · Customer contact for technical consulting and troubleshooting This is a possible temp to hire position with pay commensurate upon level of education and years of applicable experience.
