Posted Position Title: GE Plastic Injection Manufacturing Manager 3rd shift Career Level: Experienced Function Manufacturing Function Segment: Shop Operations Location: United States U.S. State, China or Canada Provinces: Kentucky City: Louisville Postal Code: 40225-0001 Relocation Assistance Yes Role Summary/Purpose: Internal Title: Injection Molding - Manufacturing Supervisor Essential Responsibilities - Promote safety and ensure compliance with safety rules and procedures. Lead accident investigations using 5 Why/7Way process to obtain root cause and achieve robust solutions. - Provide technical/troubleshooting expertise to area as needed to ensure schedule achievement. - Drive team accountability for meeting daily metrics. - Drive processes within the team to ensure accurate inventory. - Provide leadership by coaching and mentoring hourly personnel to achieve quality standards, meet productivity goals, solve problems, and generate/implement continuous improvement ideas. - Verify conformance to ISO 9000 and all other quality plans. - Provide leadership and support to energize, enhance, and develop work teams. - Ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization to achieve operational results and positive union relations. Qualifications/Requirements: - Technical degree or comparable experience required. - Extensive experience with injection molding processes. Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Desired Characteristics - Six Sigma training / Green Belt Certification. - Expertise with injection molding tooling and 190 to 1150 ton molding machines. - Minimum of 2 years leadership experience in manufacturing operations. - Experience with Lean manufacturing practices. - Strong background in all facets of injection molding processes. - Strong analytical ability, initiative, self-starter, proactive, dedicated, results oriented, team player.
