Position Description
This position is with the Boeing Exploration Launch Systems program at the NASA Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans, Louisiana and supports the development and production of the next generation NASA launch vehicle. Engaged in a highly team oriented, flexible work environment utilizing multiple skills to accomplish diverse task assignments. Performs complex production assembly operations and inspections on electronic/electrical and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. Performs rework, repair and modification to parts and assemblies. Presents statistical data to team for analysis and problem resolution. Provides complex periodic maintenance on machines and tooling and complex machine set up tasks following machine inspection checklists. Performs simple rework and modification to parts and assemblies. Assembles and delivers kits. Performs simple receiving and inspections procedures on incoming materials. Documents inspection results in accordance with applicable procedures. Coordinates with management or other departments to establish work priorities. Works under limited supervision.

Complete knowledge of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities (e.g., composites, structures), and data needed for defining delivery configurations (e.g., design definition, program directives, engineering drawings, change memos, wiring diagrams and schematics, functional tests, supplier data). Ability to differentiate production (manufacturing) processes and requirements from in-service procedures and requirements.

Basic Qualifications For Consideration

Typical Education/Experience
High school diploma or GED and typically 4 or more years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
