Position Description

This position is with the Boeing Exploration Launch Systems program at the NASA Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans, Louisiana and supports the development and production of the next generation NASA launch vehicle. Engaged in a highly team oriented, flexible work environment utilizing multiple skills to accomplish diverse task assignments. Performs simple production assembly operations and inspections on electronic/electrical and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. Provides simple maintenance on machines and tooling and machine set up tasks to prepare machines for production activity following machine inspection checklists. Assembles and delivers kits. Performs simple receiving and inspections procedures on incoming materials. Performs periodic simple maintenance on machines and tooling and machine set up tasks to prepare machines for production activity following machine inspection checklists. Documents inspection results in accordance with applicable procedures. Works under close supervision.
