Security Clearance: Public Trust
REQUIRED
- Experience as an accounting clerk and/or in an accounting/finance environment.
- Ability to create and manipulate financial data in spreadsheets; financial data entry, perform calculations.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with support staff, attorneys and other staff members.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite software [i.e. Excel, Word, etc...].
- Frequent bending, lifting and carrying moderately heavy items such as boxes (must be able to lift 35 pounds).
- Ability to obtain a security clearance.
DESCRIPTION
This position is in support of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission located at 1801 California Street, Denver, CO 80202-2656. The Employee will provide a variety of support services in support of attorneys and other staff members.
Typical assignments include, but not limited to:
- Enter data and perform calculations using spreadsheets and other software
- May prepare spreadsheets and charts and other summaries of financial and other data under the direction of attorneys or experienced staff.
- May obtain, organize and maintain documents in electronic and hard copy formats.
- Schedule financial records
- Review and summarize documents
- Conduct research of electronic databases and the internet
- Search electronic databases and the Internet
- Other duties, as requested.
DESIRED
- Financial or Accouting degree
- Trial Experience, helpful.
- Current or active clearance.
