General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer Asia Pacific recruitment

This position reports directly to the CEO Asia Pacific and is ultimately responsible for all legal, regulatory and compliance matters relating to the Asia Pacific (ex-Japan) business. 

Responsibilities

Responsibility for legal matters includes responsibility for overseeing the following areas: drafting and negotiating vendor agreements (primarily technology-related agreements), customer agreements, partner agreements and non-disclosure agreements; lease matters; intellectual property matters; corporate licensing; and corporate and stockholder matters including Company Secretary responsibilities.

Responsibility for regulatory and compliance matters includes ensuring compliance with all Hong Kong SFC, Monetary Authority of Singapore, Australian Securities and Investments Commission, Hong Kong Stock Exchange and Australian Stock Exchange, and other applicable regulatory and compliance.

Primary responsibility for Asia Pacific (ex-Japan) Compliance, which encompasses identifying compliance and regulatory areas of vulnerability, and supporting evaluation and resolution for management and the Board of Directors; assessment of regulatory changes and impact; regulatory assessment of strategic initiatives and responsible for the Market Monitoring function, including alert management.
