Commercial Coating Services International, Ltd. (CCSI) is seeking a General Laborer.
For over 20 years, CCSI, a Bayou Company, has engineered, designed, built and serviced its own fleet of coating equipment. CCSI is the indisputable leader in field joint anti-corrosion coating with more than 2 million field joints coated worldwide. With 3 plants located in Texas, Louisiana California, the ability to coat various sizes and shapes of pipe, bends, valves and other fabrications, both internally and externally with FBE, Epoxy and Urethanes, CCSI completes over 1600 projects annually.
The applicant must have the following skill set:
- Basic mechanical skills, such as operating a drill press, assembling components with bolts, and reading assembly drawings
- The ability to place orders and follow up with vendors
- Communication skills sufficient to express and understand design ideas verbally
- Organization to keep track of three or four projects at one time
- Follows instructions, and asks questions when unsure about how to proceed
Trainable skills:
- Operate coating equipment
- Forklift operation
- Troubleshooting
- Safety procedures and policies
- Quality control and testing procedures
The following would be nice, but are not requirements:
- Coating industry experience
- Welding or fabrication skills
- Electrician's helper experience
- PLC programming skills
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1 or more years experience
- Prefer basic knowledge of preservation coatings applications work
- Persist at difficult tasks despite unexpected obstacles
- Primarily outdoor climate with occasional travel required
