General Ledger Accountant - 45K-55K DOE
Leading Shared Service Centre in Dublin
Role:
- General Ledger reporting to Corporate Head Office on a monthly basis.
- Quarterly and annual corporate accounting
- Local statutory reporting requirements
- Consolidations for Multiple European Entities
- Coordinating completion of the consolidation process, ensuring that the financial statements are accurate and filled on time.
- Part of a specialised team focused on the on-time and accurate completion of the consolidated statements.
Responsibilities:
- Completion of the Consolidation statements of multiple entities
- Preparation of all footnotes and workings for partner statements
- Planning, project management and co-ordination of consolidation process
- Preparation of support and work schedules for consolidation
- Collation and review of all information to support consolidation process
- Liaison with key stakeholders globally to ensure on time delivery of information to support consolidation.
- Analytical review variance analysis
- Prepare and review Financial Statements in line with Local GAAP conventions
- Preparation of local GAAP entries and adjustments
- Preparation of consolidation pack
- Resolution of audit queries.
- Develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders in the region /country
- Proactively identify, rectify and follow-up errors and causes of errors while managing the quality and development of financial accounts, systems, process and databases within given parameters
- Contribute to team effort and assist colleagues as needed to balance workloads
- Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement and innovative solutions so the team can operate in an efficient and cost effective manner. Act as the project lead in relation to such solutions.
- Participate in and coordinate projects that require creativity and analytical skills
Requirements
- University Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting
- Qualified accountant with 1 + Years PQE in Industry
- Experience of consolidated accounting in a multi-national/US environment
- Experience of month end financial reporting and preparation of statutory financial statements
- ERP Systems Experience - SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle
- US GAAP , IFRS and Sarbanes Oxley Experience
