General Manager – Energy
Location: West Malling, Kent
Commercial Services is the trading arm of Kent County Council and operates in a number of diverse market places. As a group, it returns a dividend to Kent County Council in excess of £7 million.
Following the retirement of the well respected Head of Laser, they are looking for an individual with a proven track record in Energy procurement to lead and manage the Energy business stream.
Energy is one of the key business streams and an area that the business is keen to grow and expand. This business stream includes the highly successful Laser operation. The successful candidate will ensure the continuity and expand Laser while developing and driving through new business growth outside the Laser operation. The successful candidate will also play a role on the Executive Team in leading Commercial Services forward.
You will have an excellent track record and knowledge of energy procurement and the energy market with the ability and general business acumen the run this crucial business stream. Your leadership skills will take the Energy business to a new level while contributing to the high standards and excellent customer service levels of the wider Commercial Services business.
