Our client is one of the UK’s leading independent information services. Over the past 30+ years, this growing company has been the supplier of choice in the provision of specialist subscription and book services to clients of all sizes within various vertical markets. Due to continued growth they now have an exciting opening for a General Manager to work from their Hampshire office. 

As General Manager, you will report at a senior level and be responsible for the delivery of revenue and operating income targets through the leadership and management of market facing business, the development of relations with publishing partners and the management and development of a Customer Advantage Programme. You will also lead the development of ecommerce sales channels and revenues, Prepare and deliver a 2012/13 plan, hold regular management meetings with publishers and develop supporting market intelligence reporting, develop and introduce new value propositions and lead the development of internal/external sales teams through mentoring the Head of Sales. The ideal candidate will be a proven General Manager / Sales Director from within the legal services market or the broader professional services sector. You be experienced in delivering revenue and profit targets and increased market share in a competitive market environment. You will have successfully managed sales teams, developed ecommerce as a sales channel through working closely with a marketing departments and be results and action oriented. You will have strong people management and influencing skills, extensive sales management skills, high level consultative selling and relationship skills and the ability to integrate direct marketing and ecommerce into revenue development.

The successful candidate can expect a base salary in the region of 70k with an uncapped OTE of 100k, plus an additional and generous benefits package.
