General Manager 4 - Food Job

We are seeking a General Manager 4 to support our expanding business in Southern California. This is a top in-unit leadership position for a system of healthcare sites in the Los Angeles and Orange County area. The GM will be the single point of contact for client liaison to drive and support the expectations of Sodexo Healthcare Division while supporting our mission and values. This position will support system/multi-site business with core services consisting in Food, Catering and Patient Tray Services. Extensive knowledge and experience in culinary and catering including delivery, shipment/transportation is helpful. The ideal candidate will be well versed in culinary functions, food and labor cost control,food safety and sanitation; technically competent in unit financial management, pricing, menu development and training of both hourly and management, proven track record of client and patient satisfaction and record of increased catering and retail sales. Communication ? Ability to articulate ideas, thoughts, opinions, professionally and clearly within all levels of the client and Sodexo organizations. Time Management ? Ability to juggle multiple priorities; multi-tasking / long/short range planning. Customer Focus ? provide outstanding customer service to all customers and clients ? both internal and external. Business Writing ? Writing skills to convey complete thoughts and or complex information. This position is a travelling position and will support multiple locations throughout Southern California so flexibility and open to travel up to 80%-90% is required in this position. Healthcare Food Service Background and a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) Classification and knowledge and experience in At Your Request (AYR) or other Patient Room Service Programs are required in this position. Position Summary : Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.
