GENERAL MANAGER
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous GM or AGM experience required
- Pick/Pack Operations Manager experience required
- Experience with distribution WMS equipment and operation
- 8+ years Facility Operations Management experience in progressively increasing levels of responsibility
- Pick to light or voice picking environment experience preferred
- Fulfillment experience direct to consumer and retail stores
- Prior experience with financial reporting and analysis, including P/L responsibilities
- Previous 3PL operational experience is preferred
- Excellent problem solving skills / proactive project management abilities
- Bachelor Degree preferred
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Detail oriented
- Forecasting and managing labor
- Experience with seasonal
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partners with Regional Vice President to ensure operational excellence in all functional departments; gain comprehensive knowledge of proprietary WMS and related IT equipment; make certain customer inventory is received and shipped correctly; continually update profile of warehouse and product placement; ensures proper levels of facility sanitation are maintained.
- Develop and foster a culture of safety throughout the organization by following SIMOS safety policies and procedures, monitor DC safety, physical security and operational metrics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Responsible for SIMOS account operations, including customer relations and billing.
- Develop and refine labor models to assist customer with effective staffing levels for both peak and off-peak volumes.
- Coach, train and develop management team through comprehensive training programs, providing both informal (e.g. on-floor coaching) and formal (e.g. written evaluation) job performance based feedback.
- Develop and maintain the facility operational budget and KPI metrics.
- Ensure compliance with customer productivity metrics, reporting and accountability
- Ability to partner with HR Manager and Recruiting team to ensure proper staffing levels.
- Develop and maintain an excellent relationship with customer management.
Work Schedule: Must be able to work Weekends/Nights/Weekdays (flexibility) This position is primarily second shift based, with occasional days or weekends as required.
PHYSICAL WORK REQUIREMENTS:
Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
