Sodexo is seeking for a General Manager Chef Manager for a corporate unit with 500 employees, with annual managed volume of $275.000 in Hoffman Estates, IL. The General Manager at this location will be responsible in managing the daily operations of a full services kitchen in a production facility, and responsible in managing the daily operations of the kitchen area, implement production process, manage food cost / labor cost and have overall understanding of HACCP. The General Manager Chef Manager will have an active role in finance / cost control / customer service, responsible for the planning, organizing and the operations of the food service department. Reporting to the District Manager, the ideal candidate for this position will have previous experience in a Food Service Management / Operations Manager / Food Service Director / Chef Manager / Executive Chef, training and developing professional staff, coordinating customer service programs, client relations, computer skills, strong hands on culinary experience, and related experience in managing budgets. Position Summary : Senior-most person assigned to a one client account. Supervises cooks and oversees the preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage of food. Estimates food consumption and purchases food. May assist in cooking and preparing food as necessary. Responsible for maintaining kitchen and storage facilities in sanitary condition. Responsible for cash management. Interacts with client/customers on a regular basis. Hires and trains unit personnel. This is a single incumbent position for a small account where there is no Chef. Reports to DM.
