GENERAL MANAGER IBERIA Job in Madrid, Madrid Spain

European Industrial group dedicated to Entrance Systems is looking for a General Manager-Iberia. The company has sales offices in Spain and Portugal. This role presents a unique opportunity to lead two complimentary but also competing Organisations within the same geographical territory.  The challenge is to balance the needs and demands of both Organisations whilst maximising the synergies that exist so that the company becomes the only solution for our customers entrance automaton needs.

What we are looking for:

The successful candidate has proven experience within a product environment preferably gained from within the Spanish and or Portuguese construction Industry, shopping centers, offices, docking, handling, logistics.... The role demands that the applicant has commercial expertise coupled with an operational understanding and can balance both needs and demands of the Business. It is also essential that the candidate has at least 5 years experience gained at a senior level and has demonstrated good career progression to date. Finally, experience of enhancing service excellence from a market leading position would be highly desirable.

 

Areas of responsibility

The role is responsible for the profitable development of the nationwide businesses in Spain and Portugal encompassing both product sales and service. Specifically the main areas of focus are as follows:

 

·         Drive business development in line with Group strategy, adapted to the local country markets, including developing and implementing best practices.

·         Deliver the financial budget (profit and working capital) while developing the organizations to ensure long-term success.

·         Develop trusting relationships with senior representatives of key customer organisations.

·         Effectively lead and manage the Iberian teams.

·         Professionally represent the company and to promote and enhance its reputation.

·         Implement optimum processes and controls throughout the company to maximize efficiency and productivity.

·         Deliver excellent levels of customer service to secure customers for the long term

 

Candidate profile

In order to succeed you need to be

·         University educated to degree level (engineering or business administration is preferable)

·         Strong Business orientation, drive and results focus

·         Proven commercial skills and strong customer focus

·         Knowledge of Industrial related Products and the Spanish construction market

·         Creative and open-minded for new ideas

·         Strong financial understanding

·         Excellent leadership skills, team builder

·         Good communication skills at all levels

·         Worked within an international company

·         Successful at managing multi sites and the challenges that this brings

 

It is necessary that this position is located in Madrid, Spain however frequent travel both within the Region and internationally is necessary. The corporate language in the company Group is English.
