Operations within NXP consists of five seamlessly connected units, working together to deliver best-in-class industrial capabilities. This grouping of the units' functions allows all relevant capabilities to be effectively shared, and enables Operations to accomplish its mission of creating a clear competitive advantage for NXP as a value-added supplier of final tested products. Within Operations, the department ITEC develops, supplies and services leading edge assembly and test equipment for (discrete) semiconductors. The integrated assembly lines and other high-speed equipment play an important role in the roadmap towards cost leadership in assembly.
Job Description
To enable NXP to be competitive in the market, the jobholder must ensure a smooth supply of manufacturing equipment for mass manufacturing of Discrete End Products with a low (-est) price, a high and sufficient quality and with innovative solutions.
- Accountable for the global ITEC internal equipment manufacturing organization (~70+FTE’s).
- Accountable for outsourcing strategy and execution (make or buy, including choice of partners): To create flexibility, to avoid risk of investments, as well as to speed up the equipment introduction.
- Accountable for the overall manufacturing strategy to be the “BIC” this include building and reshaping of competences, management development, resource plan, budget etc… to ensure professional knowledge and competencies at required levels to achieve a “World-Class” in equipment manufacturing to fulfill the business needs and growth.
- Responsible for balancing the work load and force in Nijmegen and Hong Kong to have a smooth development as well as after care and factory support organization on both places of the globe.
- Accountable as driver to ensure a flawless execution of an overall excellence improvement in: Quality, Delivery, Competitiveness with a focus on operational efficiency (OEE) and reductions of cost .
- Define the development plan with stakeholders to meet all the business and technology roadmap requirements.
- Develop and drive technical solutions and manage and strengthen the people competence development.
Requirements
- Master / Doctor degree in Mechatronics and/or Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 15 years experience in Semiconductor field, of which at least 5~8 years in a Senior Manager role.
- With solid experience in Applied Mechatronics Engineering.
- Strong in development, innovative and creative.
- Strong leadership and sound inter-personal skill.
- Mulltidisciplinary and analytical, Explorative and open minded.
- Excellent communication skills and strategic thinking.
