Our client, the City of Marion is currently seeking an experienced valuation or ratings professional to join their dynamic Rating Services Team.
Reporting directly to the Manager Finance, you will be responsible for providing leadership and support to a small team of Rating Officers. Liaising with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, you will be accountable for managing official records in line with legislation, policies and procedures as well as preparing and monitoring the budget. Managing the collection of outstanding rate debtors, analysing trends, providing valuation modelling and rating data to management and Council as well as conducting public information sessions and community consultations regarding valuations and rates are other key duties of the position.
The successful appointee will have demonstrated experience in valuation, property and/or a financial environment. You will also be an experienced leader who is dedicated to fostering a collaborative and innovative workplace and will be committed to providing quality customer service. Your strong understanding of database systems coupled with your analytical thinking skills will add further to your success. Tertiary qualifications in Valuation, Property Management or a relevant discipline will be highly regarded.
