Job Description:

 The role of the General Manager is to oversee the Client Relations and Project Management teams responsible for the delivery of services to Hosting Services clients.  The role is responsible for ensuring overall client satisfaction, maintaining standards for client communications, including regular meetings, monthly report, quarterly client reviews, as well as other critical points of contact.  The General Manager for Business Services should cultivate significant relationships with key decision makers at client sites as well as senior leaders from across the DST enterprise.  The position oversees development of proposals for new and existing clients and works with finance to determine the pricing of proposals delivered to clients.  The position also requires an understanding of the broad range of DST products and services and how the Hosting Services products and services integrate with the other offerings.  The position has budgeting, forecast, procurement and personnel management responsibilities.

  

Expectations Outcomes:

· Oversee the care and maintenance of customer relationships for the DST Solutions and Hosting Services area including AWD, EFS, Hosting (Mainframe and Web), International (Canada and UK)

· Set direction for the Project Management and Client Relation teams to ensure that delivery of services from Hosting Services is consistent with contractual obligations and DST standards for customer service. 

· Ensure that the business services associates are working closely with the Technical Services resources to ensure that all service level targets for clients are clearly documented and met or exceeded.

· Cultivate direct relationships with senior executives at the client sites. 

· Communicate regularly with senior contacts to assess and validate their perception of DST services. 

· Identify opportunities to expand the use of DST products and services by clients. 

· Lead executive account management activities.

 

Management and Governance of the business aspects of Client Advocate and Project teams

· Oversee the budgeting, forecasting, tracking of revenue, expenses and allocation of associate resources.


Manage implementations to ensure they are delivered on-time and with minimal interruption to the clients’ normal business activities. 

· Oversee the project management team for implementations and major projects, providing executive oversight too proactively resolve potential issue meet deliverable deadlines.


Provide leadership and management to Client Relations and Project Management associates


Create a training program that educates the client and project teams about the DST products both within Hosting Services and the DST enterprise as a whole.  The training program should also provide continuing education on identifying sales opportunities and communications skills.

 

Shared Client Advocate dedicated Client Advocate Account Manager

· Assist with the development of client relations and project staff in support of communication, processes, and product understanding.

· Shared Client Advocates provide support of multiple small clients.

· Dedicated Client Advocates are responsible for a single client and are usually funded by the client.

· Account Manager is responsible for growing the client relationship and identifying additional sales opportunities within the clients business.

· Create and implement communication plans to be used for both internal and external communications.

 

Maintain a high-level knowledge of products and services offered by DST (e.g.DST Output, DST Insurance Solutions, DST Brokerage Solutions, BFDS, etc.), its subsidiaries and joint ventures. 

· Introduce clients to products and services offered by DST that will help them address specific business problems.

· Collaborate with client services organizations across the enterprise to expand the use of DST products and services.


Provide support to the Sales and Distribution group in the development of contracts and proposals. 

· Assist the Sales and Distribution team in development new contracts and provide executive review of proposals for quality and accuracy.

 

Assist in the pricing activities in support of new sales. 

· Contribute content that assists the Sales and Distribution team in responding to RFIs, RFPs, and proposals and in developing client presentations.

 

Maintain contracts and manage the process of contract renewals. 

· Provide executive direction to ensure client contracts are renewed in a timely manner and preserve lines of revenue.

 

Develop new solutions offerings. 

· Collaborate with other DST groups to develop new solutions offerings that leverage existing capabilities and products (e.g. mainframe hosting, web hosting, international hosting solutions, etc.)

 

New Solutions Client Support.

· Organize and implement client support structure for delivery of new solutions (Mainframe and Web hosting, etc.) to clients.


Support of New Business. 

 · Strategy for deployment of new services and products.  Support and planning with other DST businesses.  Provide appropriate staffing for business.

 

Required Skills Experience:

· Must have experience with scope and responsibility running all aspects of a large business unit in excess of $50M annually.

· Must have experience directly managing large projects, processes and people.

· Must have experience selling new line of business and nurturing current business…must be a closer!

· The right candidate will have a “presence” about them as they will consistently interact at the C-level.

· Must excel at building credibility and trust with new and existing customers.

· Must have experience in the financial industry working any/all of the following:  Mutual Funds, Asset Management, Insurance, Brokerage, Law, etc.
