JOB SUMMARY/DESCRIPTION:

We are a wholesale/distribution company in City of Industry seeking an Administrative Assistant to join the team.  We are a stable and fast growing company in the Houseware industry.  We manufacture and distribute spice racks, vinegar bottles, and decorative food items to major retailers like Bed Bath Beyond, Target, and other major retailers.  Applicant will be handling orders and must possess strong customer service skills.  Applicants who have graphics and design background is a plus.     

This person must be familiar with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange).   Individuals applying for this position must be PROFICEIENT in Word, Excel and Powepoint.  Powerpoint Presentations and Excel are used frequently.  If applicant has experience in handling orders for large chain stores where downloading of EDI purchase orders and uploading of EDI invoices are processed this is a PLUS if not, we will train the right person. 

The ideal candidate will possess outstanding communication skills both written and oral.  Bilingual in Chinese is a plus simply because we have a factory in China and coordinate on a daily basis.  However, this is not a mandatory requirement.  Any overseas communications experience in any capacity is great.  We need someone that is personable, detailed oriented and motivated.

 

JOB DUTIES:  

·         This individual will be responsible for maintaining the product information. 

 

·         Provides product, promotion, and pricing information by clarifying customer request

 

·         Selecting appropriate information; forwarding information; answering questions. 

 

·         Resolves order and inventory problems by investigating data and history; identifying alternate means for filling orders; notifying managers and customers.  

 

·         Forwards samples by entering request; arranging shipment; notifying customer.

 

·         Perform any other office functions/general projects assigned

·         Microsoft Office Skills – must have STRONG Powerpoint Presentation skills

·         Graphic Design skills  - AI, Photoshop
