General Partners Finance Associate to $55k
Leading investment firm is currently looking to hire a Finance Associate to join their Boston team! In this role, you will be responsible for treasury, accounting, tax and fair market value reporting for numerous GP entities; calculating and tracking capital calls and distributions; preparation of associated reports to investors; preparation of quarterly trial balances and reconciliation of financial activity; preparation of quarterly tax estimates and annual tax returns for all partnerships; creating reports for GP investors including realized transactions, tax basis activity, fair market value and partnership investment reports; participation in planning and implementing technology solutions for bookkeeping and reporting requirements; interaction with other teams within Finance to determine appropriate treatment of transactions; and interaction with third-party service providers, including external accounting, tax and legal advisors. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; 1-2 years of experience; client service mindset with capacity to work closely with other groups, excellent project management and organizational skills; ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects with the highest attention to detail; energetic and motivated; a self-starter; creative problem solving ability and sound judgment - ability to use own initiative to take responsibility for decisions and propose solutions; and works well independently and capitalizes on opportunities to learn and grow.
