General Practitioner (GP)

Hays Healthcare are currently looking to recruit the Locum GP for  temporary contract at RAF Coningsby, Lincolnshire.
 
Dates Required: 15.04.13 – 28.06.13
42 hour week including meal times.  The CMP will take part in the Duty Medical Officer rota, providing out of hours cover (08:00 - 18:30) and aviation medicine and airfield cover as required.  (08:00 - 08:00) on a 1:5 basis.
 
The job itself is working for the MoD as a civilian medical practitioner, where you will be required to work in the medical centre on the barracks. You will be responsible for providing first-rate care to service personnel. Duties will include on-site pharmacy dispensing, occupational health care, immunisations, travel advice, preparation for deployment, health promotion, and care of in-patients with minor illness or post operative needs.
 
You must be registered with the General Medical Council both on the main register and on the GMC GP register. You must also have medical insurance and be on a PCT Performers List.

Desirable Requirements:
 
Experience of working within military general practice/ British Forces Germany Health Service.
Familiar with the EMIS PCS/ Defence Medical Information Capability Programme.
Provide military occupational medicine advice, and be able to take part in medical boards, release medical etc.
