Arnold Machinery Company, the oldest Hyster forklift dealer in the United States is looking to fill the position of General Service Manager within our Material Handling Division, located in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Essential Job Functions:
Travel to branches, supervise, evaluate, advice, and implement needed changes.
Understand the expectation of customers, then manage and direct people to provide that level of service.
Resolve customer complaints quickly and with Silver Service commitment.
Assist branch Service Managers to acquire new business.
Assist branch Service Managers in quoting large maintenance agreements.
Help resolve any and all issues with manufacturers including but not restricted to warranties.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledgable about repair requirements and inventory lines.
Knowledgable about financial reporting and expense control for service department.
Skilled at performance management, negotiation, leadership, problem solving, and motivation.
Ability to operate a computer and comprehend various software programs.
Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize assignments in order to meet deadlines with a degree of accuracy and detail.
Must have the ability to perform assignments away from home branch with an average travel requirement of 2 weeks per month.
Education:
Four years of higher education.
Minimum of 5 years of work related experience in marketing, customer relations, machine set up and repairs, management and supervision of people and procedures.
