FM Generator, based in Canton, MA is a privately owned company supporting the Power and Facilities needs of mission critical industries for over 40 years. Our service projects include commercial markets, municipalities and the telecom industry. We are looking to add another Generator Technician to focus on service in the Central Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire areas.
The ideal candidate must be a self-starter with a strong knowledge of operation, maintenance troubleshooting of diesel, gas and propane generators, load banks electrical systems. As a Generator Technician you will be responsible for the scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of standby power equipment.
Position includes company vehicle, uniforms, laptop and cell phone - technicians must provide their own tools. OSHA 10 required within 30 days of hire. DOT Medical Card required within 30 days of hire and must be maintained in addition to drivers' license and acceptable driving record.
As a 24/7 emergency service provider, the position will require travel, nights, weekends and occasional overnight stays, especially during severe weather or other disaster.
