Product Specialist II, Genworth Financial Asset Management
The primary responsibility of this position is to communicate the strategies and activities of the Investment Management Department to internal and external audiences. Duties will include presentations at adviser/client meetings, conferences and other structured marketing events. Provide input and feedback regarding marketing collateral and product features. The position will reside within the Investment Department but will have primary responsibilities within the Sales Department. A significant degree of travel will be required.
Internal Responsibilities:
• Training and on-going support of internal wholesalers
• Provide feedback and suggested improvements for marketing collateral
• Collaborate with senior product, marketing and investment personnel in ongoing support of sales and business goals
External Responsibilities:
• Presentations at client/adviser meetings, regional conferences, and targeted wholesaler events.
• Participation in selected sales and product support calls
Basic Qualifications:
• 5-10 years of investment experience within the managed accounts industry
• Advanced degree or industry designations preferred
• Bachelor’s degree from a fully accredited 4-year college or university
Preferred Qualifications:
• Excellent presentation skills with small and large groups of varying investment sophistication
• Experience and capability in generating investment product sales and managing retention efforts
• Tremendous energy, strong reliability, results-oriented and a passion for investments
• Comfortable in an ever-changing environment subject to shifting priorities and task loads
• Should have experience and understanding of asset allocation, active management, global capital markets, performance attribution and the ability to understand and communicate complex investment strategies
• Familiarity with Webinar Technology, Microsoft Applications such as Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Knowledge or experience with analytical tools such as Morningstar, Zephyr etc.
• Familiarity with multi-manager strategy programs
