Our client is an Australian based leader with a major focus on the production and exploration of copper. With a presence across the nation their expanding NT QLD operations calls for an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join their team.
Reporting to the Mining Manager you will be responsible for maintaining quality control and monitoring, evaluating and documenting all geotechnical risks and ground control management plans.
This diverse role sees you accountable for measuring and assessing rock mass and backfill properties and providing geotechnical recommendations for systems and design improvements along with conducting stress management and analysis.
To be successful you will possess at least 5 years experience metalliferous mining and degree qualifications in Mine Engineering majoring in either Geotechnical or Geo-mechanical Engineering.
Competence and understanding of the latest Geotechnical theory, statutory requirements and Geotechnical measurements, techniques and software is required.
