Geriatrician-Clinical Faculty Summa's Division of Geriatric Medicine and Institute for Senior and Post-Acute Care are seeking a Geriatric clinical faculty physician. Summa Health System and the Institute are nationally renowned and consistently recognized for excellence in patient care and exceptional approaches to healthcare delivery The successful candidate will become a member of Summa Physicians, Inc., a multi-specialty group of Summa Health System that employs over 250 physicians and will join a well-established team of 10 board-certified geriatricians/10 nurse practitioners providing care in multiple clinical settings: outpatient geriatric assessments; inpatient consult service; Acute Care for Elders ( ACE) Unit; 3 skilled nursing home Geriatric Rehabilitation Units; teaching nursing home; physician house calls program. The Institute for Senior and Post-Acute Care has two accredited fellowship programs in Geriatric Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine. This position also offers opportunities for active involvement in research and resident/medical student education. Academic appointment at Northeast Ohio College of Medicine and Pharmacy and the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine is available and commensurate with experience. Requirements include board certification in either Family Medicine or Internal Medicine along with (or eligibility for) a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatrics.
