Within Deloitte, the Global Tax Center (Europe) is a unique, truly international and multidisciplinary Centre of Excellence, including Tax specialists (Corporate, VAT and local taxes), Accountants and other subject matter experts (IT/ERP specialists, Insurance Premium Tax professionals, etc.). These specialists provide companies with a wide range of management consulting, co-sourcing support and related advice, on a pan-European basis, in the field of Tax reporting, Statutory Accounting, IT/ERP and processes.
We are looking to expand our Brussels office with:
GERMAN ASSISTANT MANAGERS TAX - EUROPEAN VAT COMPLIANCE
Your function
- You assist with the Pan European accounting and tax administration, including the review of VAT, Intrastat and other related declarations.
- You assist shared service centers with the setup of their accounting and VAT obligations on a Pan European basis.
- You assist our clients with VAT and Intrastat audits on a Pan European basis.
- You provide clients with advice and practical consulting services on Pan-European VAT reporting matters.
- You will be coaching and developing a team of professionals.
- You will be managing all compliance related aspects of a/your client portfolio, being responsible for the delivery of compliance services.
Your profile
- You have a bachelor degree accountancy-tax or a master degree in economics or law.
- You have 5 to 7 years experience in accountancy-tax, either in large organizations with shared service centers or in the consulting arena.
- You are a native German speaker. Any additional European language is an asset.
- You have a great sense of accuracy and you are result oriented.
- You are team oriented, enthusiastic and flexible.
- You have a good knowledge of MS Office (Certainly Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
