General Summary
This is an analytical and operational position assisting Risk Operations in carrying out PayPal's Acceptable Use Policy programs. The position will research and review potential violations using a variety of tools including internal/external escalations, admin reports, as well as other sources. Based on these reviews, the analyst will decide upon courses of action with respect to the decision matrix and will determine whether accounts will be warned, restricted, or locked for closure depending on the nature and severity of the violation.
The position will require keeping current with PayPal's Acceptable Use Policies, all applicable local laws and regulations including, Bank Secrecy Act, Money Laundering, Know Your Customer, OFAC, suspicious activity report filings PayPal's Privacy Policy. The duties will require the use of independent judgment in interpreting the need for intensive and more detailed examination of facts surrounding potential violations of policy. AUP analysts will also be required to notate accounts within admin tools of actions as well as document actions. Analyst will also be required to maintain various databases for tracking as well as monitoring. Job functions require excellent internet skills, extensive knowledge of admin tools, and previous knowledge and use of KANA.
Specific Duties
- Responsible for ensuring customers are in compliance with the Acceptable Use Policy as outlined in our Terms of Use.
- Assist with the creation and maintaining of a comprehensive compliance program including constantly enhancing processes and controls.
- Effectively identifying and reporting policy violations based on the decision matrix.
- Processing queue items in a timely manner including Kana, Fraud Queues, Lead Reports and SR queues.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of PayPal's AUP, compliance with applicable federal AML laws and regulations.
- Maintain professional interaction with PayPal personnel and customers at all times.
- Interaction with PayPal personnel, government authorities, and law enforcement conducted in a professional manner.
- Assist management staff with monitoring and implementation of procedures that address policy modifications. Assist with needed modifications/clarifications in policy.
- Analyze data for evidence of lack of compliance with the AUP and assist with correcting such deficiencies.
- Create and report SAR filings.
- Provide feedback to management regarding necessary changes and updates; including policies, upgrades and potential workflow changes.
- Maintain and promote a positive attitude while meeting production and quality goals.
- Display initiative to take on additional responsibilities geared towards professional growth and development.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- Fluency in English and German
- Communication skills (E-mail Phone).
- Experience in an Internet company, financial institution or transaction processor preferred.
- Command of Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
