German Speaking Account Manager
An excellent PR agency is seeking a German speaking Account Manager with superb writing skills and natural talent for communicating. The successful candidate will work from the London office and will be instrumental in launching strategic public relations programs and help support a fast-growing client base.
They are seeking a responsible and positive professional with exceptional German and English writing skills, a confident presence and business style and truly extensive experience in public relations.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Serving as main point of contact with clients; building client relationships and providing strategic counsel on public relations initiatives
- Writing and editing feature articles, testimonial stories, copy, press releases
- Managing account teams
- Cultivating relationships with key pan-European trade and business media to develop strong editorial coverage
- Tracking PR coverage and logging placements into internal database
- Working with colleagues around the globe and developing strategies and ideas for campaigns and/or programmes
The ideal candidate will enjoy working with other talented people in a creative, collaborative and fast-paced environment. They will be a strong manager with excellent organisation skills and a down-to-earth, hands on approach.
To be eligible for this position you'll need:
- Exceptional German and English writing skills, with strong grammar and vocabulary knowledge (German native)
- Extensive PR agency experience
- Technical writing experience or journalism background required
- Aptitude for understanding technology-based businesses
- Experience working with trade and business media, especially packaging, food and beverage, chemicals, plastics and life sciences
- Client and media relationship-building skills
- Willingness to travel across Europe and to the United States
- In addition to German, additional European language skills are a plus
