Tata Steel Europe has its main steelmaking operations in the UK and the Netherlands, and supplies steel and related services to the construction, automotive, packaging, material handling and other demanding markets worldwide.
The Finance function of Tata Steel Europe has recently implemented a new operating model which is aligned with and can effectively support the new company operating model. As a result, new vacancies have been created to deliver a world class accounting, operational and analytical reporting service to UK and European business areas. Reporting to the Contact Centre Section Leader, the purpose of the role is to be responsible for maintaining the day to day operations and performance of the contact centre in order to deal efficiently and professionally with communications to and from external customers and suppliers of Tata Steel, specifically those based in Germany
This will involve being the first point of contact for internal and external customers and suppliers over the phone but specifically those from Germany and dealing with their enquiries efficiently and effectively and in a professional manner: Solving their routine and complex requests, at times, using your discretion or taking guidance from the Team leader or the process expert.
In order to be considered for this position, you will:
Be a fluent German speaker
Be educated to a good standard
Possess previous customer service experience
Have experience of working in a call centre environment or similar and be aware of it’s systems i.e telephony and call logging
Be IT literate, SAP experience desirable
