German-Speaking Events Manager – Northern Europe recruitment

We currently seek a German-speaking Events Manager to cover the Northern Europe region at our client; one of the world's foremost asset and investment management firms. The role is based in the City of London.

The events manager will act as the primary point of contact for the planning and delivery of all events for relevant sales channels. They will produce a calendar of events for the sales channel and take ownership for the full delivery of each event from inception to execution. Key responsibilities include:
-Develop annual event plans for sales team/business, ensuring that all key clients and prospects are targeted through appropriate event type
-Create event brief for all events (for sign-off by the relevant stakeholder) covering all aspects of delivery (including venue, logistics and marketing and communications support)
-Develop timeline for events in that channel and agree all key deliverables and delivery dates
-Agree event budget with key stakeholders and manage budget
-Manage internal departments to ensure successful delivery
-Provide regular progress updates and ensure effective stakeholder management
-Ensure overall event delivery to highest standards and deal with any real-time issues effectively
-Liaise with third party agencies (where appropriate) on creative development, event management and logistics

What we are looking for in this events manager role:
-Experienced event manager in relevant industry sector
-Fluent German and English; other European languages would be desirable
-Outstanding organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail
-Exceptional communication skills
-Able to stay calm under pressure and problem solve on the spot when issues arise
-A good team player with the expertise to work alone or as part of a team
-Strong time management and prioritisation skills
-Finely tuned soft skills with the ability to read people and situations and adapt approach to meet the current need
