Job Summary / Purpose:
To understand and match the needs of our clients and candidates to provide quality tailored recruitment services whilst continually meeting target.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Sales Activities:
- New business generation, through cold calling, networking, referrals
- Meet sales/NFI targets in line with personal objectives and the business plan
- Conduct regular client visits – new and continuing – identify and follow up business leads
- Negotiating fee rates with input from line manager (minimum of 25%)
- Write and place advertisements
- Work actively to win exclusive and retained business with clients
- Regularly sell client paid advertising
- Generate high calibre shortlists to clients within timescales
- Develop long term relationships with clients
Targets:
- Minimum £60,000 per quarter, i.e. £240,000 per annum.
Client Management:
- Work closely with clients, identify their needs and provide clear timescales and feedback on progress of completing assignments
- Qualify job specification / salary information and record accurate and comprehensive job description – check info / client requirements in line with key processes and legislation
- Network internally and externally with clients
- Benchmark and gather market intelligence for clients – salary, availability, candidate pool, industry activity
- Write and place advertisements, with support of marketing
- Conduct regular client meetings with new and established clients to progress relationship
Candidate Management:
- Candidate management– keep in regular contact to review progress and performance
- Carry our regular targeted headhunting relevant to your clients requirements
- Build market maps of your specialist market area
- Meet (where possible) and pre-screen candidates before their interview for suitability and preparation on behalf of the client
- Coach and direct candidates on interview skills
- Identify temporary or interim candidates with relevant consultant to offer full candidate options to client
- When relevant introduce candidates to new clients to place Laurence Simons in their recruitment plans
- Shortlist only relevant CVs, typically 3 – 6 per role
- Manage candidates' expectations from the first call, ensuring you have all the information required to manage the candidate throughout the process
- Selling opportunities in depth to candidates
- Manage every aspect of the process including offer management and dealing with counter offers
- Negotiate best contract representing both the client and candidate interests
Promotional Criteria:
Any promotion is at the discretion of your manager and the Executive.
For a promotion to a Senior Consultant the minimum criteria is:
- Consistently generate £60,000 NFI per quarter over 3 consecutive quarters
- Achieve all the targets in line with your appraisals
- Sell 2 retained searches
- Demonstrate behaviours in line with this job description
- Adhere to the targets set in your appraisal
