German Wealth Planner (m/f) recruitment

Your role

• Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of the personal wealth and financial planning issues facing UHNW clients on the German and International markets

• Analyse available tax compliant and efficient wealth planning solutions for such clients

• Develop and maintain relationships with leading tax advisers and Big Four organisations

• Coordinate, continually expand and update wealth advice obtained in all markets ensuring it is integrated into the existing database of external advice

• Monitor changes to the financial planning environment in all markets and investigate the potential impact or opportunities for Lombard

• Analyse the effectiveness of proposed new solutions and non-standard large and complex cases, including client rationale in the choice of structure

• Develop new solutions, in collaboration with the Business Development team.

• Develop strategies based on wealth planning opportunities and contribute to solving large and complex cases

• Develop excellent working relationships with our network of Sales Consultants, providing them with guidance on all aspects of client taxation

Your profile

• University degree, preferably in Economics or Law (Masters specialising in international Tax or Wealth Planning)

• At least 5 years’ experience (post-qualification) in the Wealth Planning Department of a leading private bank or financial institution (the Big Four) or in the international tax department of legal tax company

• Attention to detail, willingness to learn, flexibility, ability to work in a team and under pressure

• Ability to work autonomously, to prioritise tasks and exercise sound judgement and creativity in finding solutions

• Outstanding organisational and communication skills

• Good analytical skills

• Ability to act at a very senior level

• Native German and fluent English, knowledge of any additional language would be an advantage

• Trust and Estate Practiser, being a Charted Accountant or Lawyer is considered as an asset
