GETCO is a privately-held electronic trading firm that provides liquidity to exchanges and alternative trading systems in the United States, Europe, and Asia.  From our offices in Chicago, New York, London, and Singapore, we engage in electronic market making for our own account on over 40 markets worldwide.  GETCO is a registered market maker on various equity and option exchanges and we engage in market making and liquidity provision to help investors efficiently transfer risk.

While GETCO's primary business is electronic market making and liquidity provision on displayed markets, since March 2008 we have also operated our own client services group, GETCO Execution Services, LLC ("GES" ). GES, a FINRA member broker-dealer, provides a SEC-registered ATS, Smart Routing and Algorithmic execution services. The GES ATS provides subscribers with efficient and anonymous access to dedicated liquidity through the ATS's sole dedicated liquidity supplier, GETCO. In addition, GES Routing and GES Algorithmic Services allow subscribers to execute larger orders with minimal market impact, maximized price improvement and reduced fees and commissions.

GES has an immediate need for a driven, technically-savvy team player to focus on selling our algorithmic trading capability to buy—side clients.  You will be responsible for building and managing our client relationships for this area of our expanding business.   

Strong analytical and creative skills as well as strong working knowledge of US markets, Market structure and Algo technology are a must. This position provides a competitive compensation package recognizing your team and individual contributions to Getco’s operating performance.

Key Responsibilities:  

• Sales

• Relationship selling and closing of new business

• Sales and margin goal setting tracking and projection

• Building business relationships within the hedge fund space

• Customer Relationship Management

• Negotiation and consummation of mutually beneficial and profitable business relationships

• Identification support and resolution of customer issues

• Continued enhancement of relationships and identification of strategic partners

• Product Development

• Engage with others in the development of deliverable attractive products which support client business needs and create business value for GETCO

• Partner with other functions such as development compliance trading finance, etc. to ensure delivery of effective products in a fashion supporting both customer and GETCO goals

• Engage with potential and existing clients to gather requirements feature pricing, functionality, technical and other criteria to assist in the product development cycle.

• Provide guidance on competitors and leverage knowledge of industry to leverage GETCO advantages.

• Strategic Development

• Along with others identify opportunities for businesses is the electronic markets and electronic trade support (clearing, access) which will create significant positive value for GETCO

• Evaluate and explore potential business opportunities in conjunction with others.

Key Skills:

• Understanding of ATS and Electronic Trading

• Familiar with selling algo and dark pool technology

• Ability to take feedback from clients and understand technology well enough to meaningfully explain and discuss with developers

• Ability and willingness to learn the intricacies of a world-class financial trading firm

• Programming skills a plus

Job Requirements:

• 3-6 years experience of selling algo and dark pools

• Familiarity with high frequency trading

• Based in NYC

• Series 7

• Established Buy-Side relationships important

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

• Experience with ATS/ECN/Exchange

• Ability to travel
