GFO Middle Office/ Trade Support recruitment
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Global Family Office (GFO) Business, a business which is of key strategic priority to the firm. The role will play a part in helping to support the development of the GFO platform in APAC. Being part of the GFO Business, the role will require someone who has the drive and determination to succeed in an ever expanding and strategically important business area.
Overall Responsibilities
Pre clear trades for IB to settle in WM platform (covering client order management, execution and post-trade process which includes circulation of term sheet and trade recap among involved parties)
- Support day-to-day operational work for existing trades (cross asset class)
- Liaise with New Business Group for trade and product pre approval requirements
- Define and enhance processes for handover of trades from execution in IB to capture/settlement in IB
- End of day trade reconciliation
- Primary liaison with Operations to ensure trade is correctly settled
Outline of Pre and Post Trade Responsibilities
Pre-Trade
- Assess whether the product can be supported in WM platform
- Take the lead and coordinate with New Business Group on complex transactions/new business initiatives if necessary
- Provide guidance to IB GFO sales to ensure pre trade conditions / suitability requirement are met prior to trade execution
- Provide guidance to IB GFO sales on client product education material where necessary
- Liaise with IB/WM legal on documentations (approved term Sheets etc) where necessary
- Liaise with Credit Risk Control on margining/LV
Post-Trade
- Create instrument in WM system (e.g. STARR)
- Booking of trades for both OTC and Note form products (new and unwound trades)
- Liaise with valuations team on MTM accuracy where necessary
- Liaise with Operations on any settlement, life cycle issues with the trade. (Depending on the asset class, it will involve different systems and processes).
Our ideal candidate should possess the following
- At least 6-8 years experience within an Investment Bank or Wealth Management Operations Function
- Multi Asset Class knowledge
- Proactive and dynamic individual with excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail, strong front-to-back mindset.
- Good analytical and problem solving skills, able to identify root cause of issues and to propose solutions independently.
- Able of to communicate with stakeholders at various level and cross divisions
- Able to build networks globally and regionally
- Able to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously and work under pressure
- Evaluate and challenge both the requirements and solution to ensure the bank resources are used in the most efficient manner
- True team player with strong influencing skills
