The Smith Family is a children’s charity helping disadvantaged Australian children to get the most out of their education, so they can create better futures for themselves.

In Alice Springs we have introduced the ‘Girls at the Centre’ program, which has been developed to engage Indigenous girls and their families in education.

The aim of the Girls at the Centre Program is to provide girls in Years 7 - 9 with the encouragement and assistance to enable them to engage fully with education and develop positive pathways from school to study and work.

We are seeking a Girl Coach to be based at Centralian Middle School. The Girl Coach will work with girls from Year 7 to Year 9 as a mentor and advocate, under the direction of a Program Manager. This position is full time.

The Girl Coach also works with families to enable them to support their daughters to attend and achieve at school.
