We are looking for a GIS Analyst to join our Adelaide office, working on a part-time basis of 3 days per week, to provide support for existing and new GIS projects. Working closely with another GIS Analyst this position provides Geospatial support across our Environmental, Geotechnical, Civil, Planning and Permitting, and Mining groups. Typical projects include: site assessment, site remediation, environmental planning.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and expertise related to spatial technologies and their application to environmental assessment and engineering projects.
- Liaison and technical support to GIS consumers and clients solutions.
- Preparation of maps using ESRI.
- Spatial analysis using GIS.
- Creating and maintaining ESRI geodatabases.
- Data collection, validation and formatting.
- Performing spatial analysis and modelling using ArcGIS desktop (ArcMap) with 3D Analyst and/or Spatial Analyst.
- Cartographic presentation and 3D visualization.
- A degree or equivalent experience in the area of Spatial, or a major in Environmental or Geosciences.
- Team orientation and self motivation.
- First experience in GIS, preferably in a similar environment.
- Proven experience using ArcGIS desktop (ArcMap) with 3D Analyst and/or Spatial Analyst extensions for both cartographic and analytical purposes.
- Working knowledge of GPS units/field data capture tools.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
