GIU Senior Storage Engineer – BURA recruitment
This individual will manage key technology initiatives and/or projects and is responsible for backup capacity management. In addition to day to day engineering this resource assists with managing onsite problem determination, remediation and serves as a technical escalation for Storage Operations resources.
*Develop requirements, architect, design, implementation, and support skills in EMC backup hardware/software (Avamar, Data Domain, and Networker).
Other key responsibilities include capacity management, development of project requirements, backup solutions, project technical lead, PowerPoint presentations, Visio diagrams, documentation and standards development, quote generation and review.
Knowledge of Avamar, Data Domain, Networker backup/VTL systems and software. Familiarity with IBM VTLs preferred. Must have experience with T3500 tape drives. Working knowledge of both local and remote backup/restore technologies.
