GIU SR Network Engineer recruitment

This position provides Global Tier 3 Network Support, request for service support, incident ticket resolution, on-call rotation support, and implementation / configuration support for Network Operations.
* Network discovery and inventory collection (Cisco CNC)
* Network management (SNMP)
* Network automation and configuration management (BMC / HP/NA)
* Cisco Routing and Switching. 4000+ devices.
* Responsible for the configuration QA of datacenter network hardware prior to network operation changes
* Gloabal Tier 3 Network Support for all DC 4000+ devices. Follow the Sun Model
* Change Management Representative for Network Operations
* Respond and Resolve Global Network Incidents and requests Tickets assigned via Service Now. (80+ Escalated Network Incidents per month)
* Schedule, Implement, and IVP Global Network scheduled, expedited and emergency infrastructure changes (After Hours 10PM EST and Weekends)

* Consult with client, data processing management and staff in the design and implementation of new or modified telecommunication networks.
* Support the Network Engineering with network designs and assist with implementation processes; coordinate supplies, contractors and operations.
* Monitor the operation of the networks and systems to ensure proper utilization of lines, hardware and software. Tune networks for optimal system performance.
* Serve as the point of escalation for complex problem resolution, typically for level 3 or 4 issues.
* Prepare and maintain technical specifications and documents, drawings, and system documentation.
* Interpret complex technical diagrams in order to affect problem resolution.
* Assist in the evaluation of vendor proposals with respect to the hardware, communications protocols, switching methods, access methods and tariffs and in the procurement of software and equipment; recommend equipment for purchase or lease.
* Test and verify all changes to ensure changes occur without interruption.
* Track projects and report status to appropriate management.
* May mentor less experienced staff; and may instruct, direct, and check their work.

Required Skills:
* 6 years experience in supporting and implementing CIsco Routers and Switches
* In depth knowledge of Network routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
* In depth knowledge of at least one of the following: Wireless, Load Balancers (Cisco ACE), Cisco Nexus Switches, MPLS
* Knowledge of telecommunication systems and network engineering
* In depth Knowledge of TCPIP protocol
* Consultative and communication skills
* Analytical ability

Desired Skills:
* CCIE, CCNP, CCNA certifications
