Position Title: Planner

Role Purpose, Key Responsibilities and Experiences

Role Purpose:

Our Roxboro, NC assembly facility is seeking an experienced Planner. This position will manage and communicate production schedules and ensure compliance with customer requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Support 90-day plan through release of daily/weekly build schedules to supporting facilities
- Develop build schedules for assigned OEM lines
- Establish kanban card requirements for finished assemblies and major components.
- Ensure interval calculations are maintained.
- Prepare truck schedules to meet customer demand
- Coordinate prototype, PSW builds and service builds
- Ensure manufactured component availability
- Prioritize and sequence assembly
- Communicate performance measurements for assigned areas(on-time delivery, linearity)
- Monitor customer inventory, shortages, plant schedules for all customer lines
- Serve as new parts coordinator in assigned area
-  Provide planning oversight leadership to other planners/analyst
- Must be able to use customer supplied inventory management systems, (DDL) where available.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Five to eight years planning experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, automotive preferred
- Strong manufacturing systems experience:  MRPII, EDI, Spreadsheets
- Experience with kanban/pull systems, supplier and customer EDI system preferred
- Bachelors degree (Engineering, Operations, Business Administration) preffered, Associates Degree required
- Professional certification preferred
