Glasgow office – Business Development Manager (Northern England & Scotland) ; £Competitive recruitment

As a Business Development Manager, the candidate will be responsible for the distribution of the company’s funds to discretionary channels and private clients across the North of England and Scotland. The main responsibilities will include:

• Identifying and targeting potential new investors from the IFA market across the North of England and Scotland, with a focus on discretionary channels and private clients

• Developing and enhancing relationships with IFAs in the North of England and Scotland to ensure continued investments

• Reporting directly to the Sales Director to ensure timely updates on the company’s business strategy in the North of England and Scotland

• Regular travel throughout the North of England and Scotland

• Attending meetings and events as appropriate

The suitable candidate for this role will likely demonstrate the following:

• A proven track record in selling a range of retail focused investment funds to IFAS throughout the North of England and Scotland

• A thorough understanding and knowledge of the retail investment fund space

• A background of building and developing relationships with IFAs in the UK

• At least three years experience in an IFA sales role

The suitable candidate will be responsible for growing the company’s AUM through sales efforts to intermediaries and as such should come from a strong background of selling investment funds to a UK IFA client base. As the position will be based in the North of England/Scotland, candidates may work from home and will not be required to be based in London.
